Trivia at the Shakespeare. Great as always. That place is now my rock in the turbulent pub trivia sea that is Sydney. We also won (on 55 points) which contributes to the enjoyment factor. Even though we didn’t score all the high point questions (i.e. Australian organizations with the highest advertising expenditure), Bruce did okay with the 7 countries that border Iran.
Tobias (a.k.a. little Chadwick) made a very lengthy appearance. The boy actually seems to find a noisy pub environment quite soothing! Having said that, the place went from being pretty crowded to practically empty by the end of the night. Only three other teams remained to witness our triumph. Neil was victorious in Heads or Tails even though there was a fair amount of cheating taking place.
I was disappointed at not picking the day of the week Who magazine is released, having ordered Kelly a subscription for her birthday. I knew she received it Friday but I mistakenly allowed for a day in the post! The Salt and Pepper Squid is also an appetizing alternative to the ribs which I’ll make a mental note of. And the jackpot went off for a successive week. Not to us though. We were 2 years off, 1983 as the year Tokyo Disneyland opened.

The Shakespeare has ribs again!
Well it has been over a year since I was there last. I checked. So naturally the menu has been updated.
Also, the trivia kicked it old-style! This guy is the best host going. Although the questions were a bit of a case of deja vu, I did not mind since I got a second crack at the Robert Goulet music question. Yes!!
We were in second place at the half-way mark. I bailed before the results so I don’t know if we clawed back the 4 point difference.
