Wal-Mart Legends

I mentioned a while back, that I was after a whole stack of Marvel action figures this year. None of these have hit stores here yet but one of the sets, never will. I’m talking about the Wal-Mart exclusive Giant Man Series. They weren’t out when I was in Hawaii last month but they are out there right now and even though people on the boards are claiming that to get the exclusive, Wal-Mart had to request so many of these that they will surely be warming pegs for months to come, I’m still dubious.
Anyway, I’ve let the old urge get the better of me and bid on a few eBay auctions for the particular ones in the set that I really, really want. Not on that list is the build-a-figure, Giant Man himself, pictured (image is courtesy of the seller, Action Figure Lair). I’ve justified it slightly by bidding only on 3 loose figures, meaning they are cheaper and will also be less to ship. That also means no Giant Man pieces and buying him separately is too expensive.
The guy’s Thor figure has already gone past the US $15 mark so I gave him a miss. I doubt I will end up winning anyway since there are 2 days to go. I’ll update here with the result.
New York Toy Fair

I am not actually attending this, but I always check the forums and galleries obsessively when February rolls around. Specifically for what Toy Biz is going to be doing with the Marvel Legends line. Now, I’m not a completist of the line by any means. I get the figures I like if I can find them.
This year. I’m doomed. There are at least 50 new figures lined up, including a Wal*mart exclusive range (which will be difficult to get where I am). Every single one of them, a sweet piece of plastic.
Here is my want list…
