Back again! And I can’t say that its not due in part to $5 steaks. Although Bruce was back in town so that helped make the slog up Foveaux Street as well.
The less said about how The Devil Hates Kung-Fu performed tonight, the better. We were being outclassed at every turn by The Well Hungarians. I didn’t even stay for the final score.
But at least they run through the questions quick at this joint. It means that I get home only at a stupid time, instead of an absurd one.

Its been a while since my last trivia and even longer since my last visit to Forresters. But I slogged up that hill on Foveaux Street, through the miserable rain, and was rewarded for my effort with a banner hailing the return of $5 steaks. Yum!
Bruce was out of town but I didn’t even pretend to be a substitute for his geographical expertise. London was the only capital of the British Isles that I could name. I left the rest up to Neil, Pete and Mike.
We fell down on…
- the homework of the space family Robinson
- the most googled TV show being The Simpsons
- and crappy Australian shows around the turn of the Millenium
TV shows are usually by best subject.
In the end, The Devil Hates Kung-Fu put in a reasonable 3rd place with 62 points. Although the biggest success was probably draining the tab put up from the previous week’s win (to which I didn’t contribute). It will probably take me a while to get back into the swing of things but I’ll enjoy a few steaks while working on my form.
