Back at the Strawb (if you don’t count last week which I missed) and still a formidable force! We had one of the better turn-outs for trivia, that I have borne witness to, for some time. Mike and Josee. Bruce. Pete. Jacques. Neil. This was, as it turned out, a trivia dream team. At least in the first round where we notched up a perfect score of 29 points.

We ended up winning and claiming the somewhat smaller (damn the GFC!) cash prize and a load of drink vouchers from Bruce’s Heads or Tails streak and Pete’s Who Am I? triumph.

Highlights…

My suggestion for a Roy Orbison song containing “Man” in the title was met with skepticism. Justifiable since my initial call was “Honky-Tonk Man”.

Bruce going for the $15 barbeque grill platter. Sausage, steak, ribs and fries which everybody was eyeing off for future consideration.

Listening to the host attempt to pronounce Equatorial Guinea and Dostoevsky.
