Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Nov 19th
I finished this a while ago on the PSP. It was really great fun and I loved (meaning I missed my train stop a couple of times) having this to play on the way to work.
I’m glad that I played this out before I saw what the graphics are like on the PS3. I don’t think I would have been able to enjoy it as much otherwise. But the PSP had an apparently unique feature in the Historical Mission mode. This let you unlock moments in Star Wars lore, like Luke slashing his way through Jabba’s guards over the Sarlacc Pit.
The shelf life is limited. Once I unlocked everything I’m struggling to play through even the non-story missions again. I find myself using chain lightning a lot, because its easy and I’m bored. Even though force hurling objects at clone troopers is much more satisfying, it just takes too long. There’s also a big reliance on Quick Time Events to pull off all the cool moments. But I was ok with that.
