Colors!

I recently became aware of Colors!, homebrew software for the Nintendo DS. As someone who loves to draw (it relaxes me, okay?) but finds very little time to do so, this is a fantastic app for the long train trip.

Shredder

I took a stab at it, and its really good. The UI is about as simple as you can get and being able to control opacity and brush size, once the pressure-sensitivity has been calibrated, produces a really nice drawing style. Having said that… its nowhere near production quality. The level of detail you can get only goes so far and there is, of course, no layers or undo (just yet). So its great for a quick doodle but really, this confirms I’ll be looking at a tablet PC for my next computer. Speaking of “quick doodles”…

Trivia

Had to make it out to this one as it was probably Nick’s last ever sojourn with the Devil Hates Kung-Fu at the Strawberry Hills Hotel. Appropriately the opposition was trounced in the first round and kept at bay, by 1 point, in the final. Being his curtain call… Nick got to scribe. Until Pete took over.

El Rosado

I won’t lie. This makes a significant dint in the ol’ roster. But all the best, Nick, with your new adventures south of the border. Salut!

Side Note

I have an updateable sidebar. Woohoo!

I may actually miss that static content that was there as a placeholder for the last two years.
