A small scale outing at the Strawberry Hills Hotel for trivia tonight. And even though lacking the usual strength in numbers The Devil Hates Kung-Fu was leading at the end of the first round. We had the chance to win outright at this stage due to a burst water main in the street behind the pub. However, it got fixed just as the places were being announced and the trivia continued. I had to leave early for a bus, but I’m told we eventually tied for first and split the $100.

Any one of the following corrections would have sealed our supremacy…

  • Mexico (not China) for large Christian populations.
  • Frankenstein and King Kong were big movies of the 30s.
  • Jaws and Bubbles in place of Nemo for popular goldfish names.

Once again, no joy for the jackpot.
