The End Is Nigh
Oct 26th
At least as far as my obsession that I have spoken of in the past goes.
Series 14 (Mojo) and 15 (M.O.D.O.K.) will no longer be getting an official release here apparently. Something to do with the handover to Hasbro. So its back to eBay which is expensive and frought with frustration.
I’ve also been hearing that the quality of these things have gone down. Bad paint apps. Loose joints etc. The Mojo series, in particular, look like doo-doo.
This is the Universe telling me to quit.
Trivia

The Devil Hates Kung-Fu got a score of 54 to come in third by one point.
Things learnt:
- Taggart and Rosewood were in Beverly Hills Cop. Not ‘Tucker’ and ‘Goldstein’.
- The most prevalent German surnames are Schultz, Müller and Schmidt.
- Happy Birthday Helen was sung by Things of Stone and Wood.
The jackpot question was the year of the first American Express Gold Card. Contrary to popular thought the answer was not 1982 but 1966.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

I finished this on the DS last weekend. That is to say I finished it for the third time with the final, final ending. There was also a really crap ending and a moderately crap ending. Anywho. I’m sitting on 98.8% completion.
I was desperately trying to collect all the souls and eventually do weapon synthesis to get all the uber-weapons. But I needed two Final Guard souls. One to get the Claimh Solais great sword and the other to move up in the axe division. Then I would have needed another on top of that just for a complete soul set.
Do you think I could get even one Final Guard to drop a soul? I even sold enough stuff to get a Soul Eater Ring and kitted out in the Three 7s with the full-level Ghost Dancer soul in effect (the luckiest combo I could find). Nada. I must have killed me a hundred of ‘em.
Anyway, my impatience eventually won out over my compulsion and I finished the game. I have now unlocked the Boss Rush and Julius Belmont modes however, so I might be tempted to take the challenge up again.
