I Pity The Fool

There’s an 80′s themed event coming up at the end of this week and although I think its based more around the music of that era, I’m probably still going to wear my A-Team t-shirt.

With more money…I could easily raid this place which I discovered even more recently.

Flash Me, Baby

I’ve recently become aware of FlashMe. A firmware replacement for the Nintendo DS. With some twiddling around it allows someone to run unsigned code with the help of a little peripheral hardware, in the form of a memory card and an M3 Adaptor, easily purchased from Divineo.

The lure of developing and running my own homebrew games is a powerful one. Tales of “bricking” always give me chills, however.

Ca$h Invaders

Since I’ve been occupied with other activities lately, I’ve trolled through my archives and pulled out this gem.

Scratchie Design

This was actually done for a competition NSW Lotteries had where you could win a cool grand (and the dubious honour of having a Scratchie design based on your own). The idea was fairly basic and the design a little too childish.

(I was obsessed with my Atari 2600 at the time. The original one from my childhood having recently re-discovered it in the back of my parents wardrobe.)

It was done in one night, and you can tell. I never heard back.

Although, I never heard any fanfare about who won either and I’ve been tempted to call “shenanigans”. If I had entered with a better design that is.
